Very unobtrusive
I installed these smoke alarms when I first heard about the legislation changes in Scotland. Was a bit wary about not getting them quickly, but it's been a few months now and they are that unobtrusive that I even forgot about them. The alarms are good quality and the fixing feels sturdy, no bother with drilling

Full home coverage
I live in a large home and was happy to find out these fire alarms work throughout my whole house, no problems with signal so far. We are old, and my daughter helps me to check the alarms upstairs when I test them with the remote from the kitchen downstairs. All synchronised together.

I use the remote all the time
Got to replace my old smoke alarm models that have last me 2 years. These alarms will finally last 10 years before next replacement. Great service and great product at a competitive price. Big bonus is having a remote control to test them, no more using broom handles.

Premium look and quality
These alarms were easy to link together and stick on the ceiling. The remote is very handy, I use it to test the alarms weekly. When I press the button they all go off. I like the look on my white ceilings, they look better than others I saw online.

How long will delivery take?

All orders are dispatched the next working day and shipped with Next Day Delivery option.

Do I need an electrician to install FireGuard+ alarms?

We made it easy, you will not need to call an electrician to install our fire alarm system. Our alarms are wirelessly interconnected and long-life battery powered. You can either use screws and anchors, or strong adhesive pads to fit your alarms in minutes.

How many fire alarms do I need in my home?

The minimum protection standards requires one smoke alarm installed in the room most frequently used for general daytime living purposes; one smoke alarm in every circulation space on each storey, such as hallways and landings; one heat alarm in every kitchen; one carbon monoxide detector where there is a carbon-fuelled appliance, such as boilers.

For maximum protection we recommend to install one smoke alarm in every bedroom and dining area; one smoke alarm in converted lofts; one heat alarm in the garage.

Do FireGuard+ Alarms detect Smoke and Heat at the same time?

FireGuard+ Interlinked Alarms include a Photoelectric (for smoke detection) and a Thermistor (for heat detection) sensors within the same unit, but do not detect both at the same time. This is necessary to avoid false alarm when heat detection is required over smoke detection in areas such as kitchen and garage.

You can easily switch from smoke to heat detection at any time, depending on the location of your fire alarm.

Why do fire alarms need to be interlinked?

Smoke and Heat Alarms are required to be interlinked. You may not hear the alarm closest to the fire but, by having an interlinked system, you will be alerted immediately in whatever room you are.

How will the new regulations impact my household insurance policy?

Compliance with new regulations will be part of any Home Report and may be introduced as legal requirement by home insurance companies. As is a minimum standard for safe homes, local authorities will be able to use their statutory powers to require owners to carry out work on substandard housing.
