Where are Fire Alarms to be located?

Smoke Alarms are required in every circulation area such as hallways and landings; day-time frequented areas such as living room; converted attic if applicable. It is also recommended to fit Smoke Alarms in every bedroom to minimise the risks of unnoticed fires.

Heat Alarms are required in every kitchen and in indoor garages, if applicable.

Carbon Monoxide Alarms are to be fitted in every kitchen, and in every area that contains carbon-fuelled appliances such as boilers and open fires.
